Twitter adverts 'could help improve content'
The creation of advertising models to try and monetise the micro-blogging site Twitter could have a positive impact on the quality of tweets as marketers seek to tap into the medium, an expert has predicted.
Sales jobs seekers might soon find themselves looking at recruitment opportunities sent via tweets, with more succinct and well thought out messages than the traditional "banal" and "dreary" offerings, says Tom Ollerton, senior marketing manager for Skive and member of the Internet Advertising Bureau.
"The idea of an ad format that has to punch its own weight through the proposed resonance score may even produce better content than most tweets that are free to contain anything," he said.
Mr Ollerton added that by honing tweets, more value could be added to Twitter, creating a format which is popular with advertisers.
Sales jobs seekers in the IT industry have also been the beneficiaries of good news this week, with new jobs on the market at one of the world's best known brands, Google.
