Killer CV 'needs to attract attention of bosses'
Sales recruitment hopefuls should make sure that their "killer CV" attracts the attention of their potential next boss, according to an industry expert.
Paul Laurie, a spokesperson for employment agency Manpower, told the Daily Mirror that a sales recruitment CV should be a person's "unique selling-point".
"A concise, accurate, two-page CV will ensure that you give yourself the best chance of getting an interview. It's your opportunity to persuade an employer that you've got what it takes to successfully take on the role without going into too much detail," he added.
The expert warned that, while it important for people to sell themselves in their resumes, they need to be careful not to exaggerate their experience, as this could be detrimental in the future.
He also commented that one of the most common errors on CVs are spelling and grammar mistakes, advising that somebody else should check over a resume before it is sent off to an employer.
Alexandra Kelly, founder of Powerchex, said that anyone who lies on their CV could end up having their contract cancelled.
