Communication skills 'critical in sales jobs'
People hunting for sales recruitment success have been told that communication skills are vital to their hopes.
Miyanda Maimbo, writing for The Post, said that every organisation is unique in its own way and therefore will require different skills depending on the position.
She added that sales recruitment hopefuls have the opportunity to develop the needed skills, while those who face challenges can do something about it.
"Communication skills are critical to any employer - these would include written, verbal and even listening skills. I have witnessed interviews where a candidate is highly qualified and experienced and yet when they open their mouth to speak, nothing of interest comes out," she commented.
Ms Maimbo also said that grooming, image and deportment are also important factors to showcase to a potential employer.
Emma Adler, resourcing manager at Sony, told the Guardian that dressing sharply for an interview is all about "standing out but blending in".
