Poor CV 'can do more harm than good'
A poor CV or resume can do more harm than good to the chances of someone experiencing sales recruitment success, according to a business blog.
Kenrick Chatman, writing for Technorati.com, said that the first step to looking at sales jobs should be to create a "stellar resume" as it can give an excellent display of a candidates work history, competencies and abilities.
"To thrive in today's job environment, job hunters need to tailor their resumes by including quantifiable achievements and results," he added.
Mr Chatman commented that the next step is to be sure that the resume has been tailor-made to the job that they are interested in, listing skills which are relevant to the sales recruitment expert.
He also stated that special attention should be paid to the 'summary' section, as this is a chance to differentiate from the rest of the applicants.
Catherine Kaputa, writing for the Guardian, said that the CV is about showing off a person's 'brand' and selling it to other people.
