Taking time out to add to CV 'can make sense'
Improving a CV by undertaking courses or degrees could help to improve chances of sales recruitment, according to an expert.
Rhymer Rigby, writing for the Financial Times, said that alongside the boost in earnings and the increased sales recruitment chances a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree offers, it will also offer some "stealthier benefits".
Mr Rigby added that, if sales recruitment hopefuls are planning on being a student again in order to add to their CV, then they will have to be aware that they might well have to live like a student too.
Corinne Mills, a career coach with Personal Career Management, said: "If you worked in the voluntary sector or some areas of the public sector, I'd expect that an MBA really would be valuable and would make you stand out."
Sales recruitment hopefuls who undertake additional degrees or courses need to make sure that they are organised on their CV in a structured order, to make sure that they are not skipped past or overlooked by a recruiter.
