Search strategy 'a must for jobseekers'
People looking for sales jobs in the current economic climate should put together an effective search strategy and clearly define their parameters, it has been claimed.
According to US-based human resources consultancy Oklahoma Professional Search, finding a job requires more than simply sending out CVs.
Kay Stout, an executive advisor at the group, commented: "Rule number one of a job search strategy is to clearly define what you want to do and set objectives you want to achieve with your new position.
"If you're unsure, consider a career assessment that will identify your skills, motivations and preferences."
She went on to say that the next two most important steps in any job search are networking and putting together a strong CV that is based on accomplishments.
Earlier this week, the Careers Advice Service said that employment will be one of the hot topics spoken about over Christmas dinner in UK homes this year.
