Job hunters should 'list achievements to make themselves stand out'
People looking for sales recruitment success need to make sure that their CV highlights achievements which set them apart from the competition, according to an expert.
Tim Hird, managing director of recruitment firm Robert Half Singapore, told Efinancialcareers.sg that people should cite a business initiative that they implemented or a scheme which added value to an organisation to make themselves stand out from the crowd.
"What was the biggest challenge you faced and how did you turn it around? What was one project that you spearheaded and are most proud of?" he added.
Mr Hird added that spelling mistakes on a CV make employers think that a person lacks attention to detail, while poor grammar can also harm the perception of a job hunter's communication skills.
Many firms also advise that a CV is not longer than two pages, while it should also be written in a reasonable font size to give sales recruitment experts the best chance to read all of the information.
