People changing sales jobs 'should build on transferable skills'
Building on transferable skills is one of the keys to success in sales recruitment, according to a business expert.
Alaa El Din Rady, managing director of Enmaa Financial Services, said that if someone is looking to make a career change into sales jobs then they should build on their transferable skills.
"A lot of skills end up being transferable not only across different functions in the same company, but also across totally different industries such as managerial skills, selling skills and negotiation skills," he added.
Mr El Din Rady said that being able to highlight achievements in a previous role can also play a major role in sales recruitment success.
He commented that nothing promotes a worker better than their work, reputation and progress in past positions.
People looking to change careers to sales jobs should also think about how satisfied they currently are with their career and whether they are in need of a change of role, employer or a new path completely.
