Sales jobs applicants' CVs 'must not be too long'
The crucial thing those applying for sales jobs should do is to ensure their CV is not too long, an expert suggests.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive of Work Wise UK, claims that many people over-complicate this document and this is not often what employers are looking for.
"The CV is used to get the interview it is a means to an end," he explains.
Key elements that sales jobs applicants should include are their skills and the fact they can provide a solution to a company's unique problem, he advises.
Mr Flaxton adds that the CV should be able to persuade the recipient that an individual is the best person for the job without resorting to distortions of the truth.
He states: "Because there are more candidates chasing a job, I think employers are more likely to check on what a person has said."
Last week, experts speaking to the Mirror advised sales jobs applicants to prepare their CVs for the upturn and to try and get extra experience, as this could enhance their employability.
