Sales jobs interviews 'need rigorous preparation'
People wanting to impress at sales jobs interviews need to take time to make sure they are fully prepared for any eventuality, according to one expert.
Employment consultant Rowan Manahan told the Age that modern interviews for sales jobs are more competitive and attract applicants that will be very well prepared.
He said: "Start gathering intelligence. Study the company web site and in particular, look very carefully at its stated mission and vision."
The consultant added that competing candidates will have researched the company, found out about the individual interviewers and know the political leanings of the firm they are applying to.
Studying the company's website is a tip Mr Manahan gives, along with finding out what vision your potential employer has for the business.
Taking time to prepare a CV will give applicants for sales jobs a better chance of standing out, according to the Wall Street Journal, which said that being stringent and thorough is essential.
