CV's must have strong impact to be successful
People applying for sales jobs should ensure that their CV is written to have a strong impact on human resources teams, an expert asserts.
Dave Chaplin, chief executive of Contractor Calculator, claims that the majority of resumes are given ten seconds of attention before being thrown in the bin.
He claims that the layout must be ideal for the job at hand, as it must appeal to the reader in a very short amount of time.
"You need to remember that your experience is like a box of chocolates to the agent or client
You need to present the ones the agent or client wants rather than leaving them to have a rummage around," he asserts.
Mr Chaplin suggests the key areas for employees to include are a profile, relevant skills and expertise for sales jobs and the achievements obtained with previous employers.
The Mirror recently advised young people looking to apply for sales jobs to do their research, taking on relevant work experience opportunities to improve their chances of success.
