Job seekers should 'keep CV relevant'
Britons on the look-out for jobs should make sure that they are qualified for the posts they are applying for, a group claims.
KPMG also comments that any experience a candidate lists on their CV should be up-to-date and relevant, those hunting for sales jobs may be interested to hear.
Lesley Winterflood, head of recruitment in the UK for the group, states that her firm is looking for CVs that cut out any clutter and are succinct, which can include the use of bullet points.
She adds that during the economic downturn competition for places is growing, those looking for sales jobs may be interested to hear.
Ms Winterflood says that while more applications are coming in, many are not suitable, warning that people need to keep these "targeted".
Earlier this month, a study by NORAS 2009 found that 76 per cent of people looking for sales jobs would be willing to more overseas or take part in training schemes to find work.
