Time 'to streamline recruitment'
Enterprises should streamline their hiring operations in the difficult economic climate.
According to recruitment firm Futurestep, recent economic turbulence has forced companies to re-address the changing landscape for talent acquisition.
Tim Nelson, president of the group's operations in the Asia Pacific region, commented: "Being able to compete effectively for talent remains a challenge for organisations of all sizes.
"Regardless of economic conditions, companies will continue to vie for leadership talent, as well as specialised skills."
He went on to say it is now time for leaders to consolidate their recruiting operations, eliminate organisational inefficiencies and find ways to achieve more with less.
Earlier this week, job site Multilingualvacancies.com revealed candidates with language skills remain in demand despite the difficult economic climate.
The group added that positions remain for those who are able to communicate in more than one language, as businesses try to find ways to become more competitive and productive.
