Applicants looking for sales jobs may be interested in new advice on compiling the ideal CV.
Candidates that boost their application with details of specific achievements in their career to date may improve their chances of winning that dream sales job, an iProfile.org poll has found.
According to Online Recruitment magazine, 73 per cent of respondents to the employer survey said that would be deterred from interviewing candidates for sales jobs and other positions if their application lacked evidence of concrete attainments.
Karl Gregory, a CV expert with the website, told the news provider: "Addressing this issue could significantly boost people's chances of getting through to the interview stage, as well as getting the salary they deserve."
Over 50 per cent of those polled asserted that they may offer candidates a five per cent starting salary supplement if they gave evidence of relevant past achievements.
Meanwhile, a recent study by the Association of Executive Search Consultants found that over two-thirds of executive search company heads believe that sales recruitment in financial services will soon recover.
