Technical Sales, Electronics

Technical Sales, Engineering and Electronics, UK Wide role from Buckinghamshire HQ. £35,000 to £40,000 Basic, £45,000 OTE (uncapped) plus £4.8K car allowance. This is a technical sales role selling into end user clients across primarily food, pharmaceutical, beverage and component manufacturers. However, the range of clients is massive and includes clients as diverse as Pro Golf Coaches and Football Clubs! The company manufacture a range of machine vision sensors and provide leading edge products that surpass competitor technologies and are very keenly priced.

Whilst this is a technical sale it is sold in a very commercial way into automation and end users often through system integrators and sales cycles can range from 'on the spot' to several months. Therefore the important requirement is experience of selling into end users rather than possessing specific machine vision experience. Ideal backgrounds would either be component sales into end users or automation products such as drives, process control, controls, linear motion systems, microcontrollers, Controllers, PLC's, SCADA, DCS, ICS, PAC, Conveyors, etc.

Reporting directly into the MD, this is a fast-paced and highly varied role that requires a technically competent and experienced sales professional that is used to selling at conceptual levels, understanding client needs and 'speccing' product 'in hand' with customers. You are expected to have a strong depth of knowledge of various industries and manufacturing processes. Target sectors could include food and drink, pharmaceutical, engineering, aerospace, defence, chemical, automotive, high performance automotive and industrial.

The potential to earn is uncapped and based upon your success you are expected to become the Sales Manager, recruit further members to the team and drive the business forward.
As a person you will be positive, proactive and outgoing with a flair for listening and understanding client problems and working collaboratively to provide the right solution. You will be a strong character that's unafraid to lean on colleagues for support and help and be a genuine 'team player' looking for a long-term career opportunity. Your CV will demonstrate loyalty and logical progression and we are not looking for a 'job hopper'.
