Sales Administrator, Scientific Products

£18,500+. This is a very varied sales and marketing support role for a manufacturer of technical scientific products sold into water, pharmaceuticals and the chemical industries. To succeed you will be a rare individual that is an efficient, organised professional yet is a strong enough character to be assertive when the need arises. Working in a presales capacity to fully understand the needs and requirements of potential clients you will be a positive, friendly personality that is articulate and likeable. You will set yourself high personal standards and have the confidence to handle inbound enquiries, understand client needs to provide appropriate product literature and close inbound calls into face-to-face meetings for the field sales team. The role will also require you to become fully conversant on the products so you will be the kind of individual that enjoys being a 'sponge' for information and is naturally inquisitive and likes to be seen as the 'expert', or oracle of knowledge, within a business!

To apply you will be a strong administrator that's driven by delivering exceptional customer service and enjoy a busy and varied role that will continuously challenge your skills. Summed up in one word we are seeking a 'star'!

Solid knowledge of Word Excel and Outlook is required and some understanding of a CRM package (Act, Goldmine for instance) or other Business Contact management system would be a definite advantage.

* Articulate: Able to deal with and handle complex objections and maintain composure and credibility. Good questioning skills, ability to build rapport at all levels
* Confident: Engaging personality that can establish and build rapport
* Inquisitive: Must enjoy learning new skills and understanding new clients, new products and new industry sectors. An individual that naturally wants to increase their knowledge and expertise.
* IT Literate: Above average knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Ability and keenness to learn new systems.
* Organisational: Good time management and possessing the ability to work several projects simultaneously. Well planned and project management approach to getting a job done.
* Positive: Taking the knocks with a smile and always striving to be the positive and personable
* Reliable: A conscientious person that can be depended upon to get a good job done.
* Resilient: To take the knocks and bounce back. Taking responsibility and accountability. Learning from mistakes.
* Stable: Stable career history and persona.
* Team-player: Will work with others for the good of the company. Will willingly help and support others.
* Willingness to undertake repetitive tasks such as CRM, data cleansing, data input and sales administration.
