Southern Sales Manager, Dairy Equipment

Southern Sales Manager, Dairy Equipment, £35K to £40K Basic, £45K OTE + Car. Leading manufacturer of dairy equipment and ancillary components, supplies and spares require a proven sales professional with experience of selling into agricultural distributors. The role is covering the whole of the Midlands South and the ideal living location is the corridor from the West Midlands down to Devon.

To apply you will be the kind of person that can build relationships and do business across all levels. You will have an agricultural sales background and be comfortable selling into the farming community and be 'well read' on current challenges and market pressures. You will be self managing, an excellent communicator, self driving and be used to working remotely in a highly autonomous role. Your CV will demonstrate a loyal career and you will be looking for a 5 year plus career position.

This is a relationship building sales role where you are tasked with two core responsibilities - distributor management and working together with the distributor to secure high valued end-user projects.
Your first remit is to manage the distributors and requires excellent rapport building and communication skills to ensure that your distributors sell your products over competitors. This side of the role also involves training the distributors on new products and training their new members of staff on your product range and its associated features and benefits. This side of the role can enable 'quick wins' and securing long term contracts to supply.

The second side of the role is working with the distributor to win high valued project led business. This is perhaps via a bids and tender process or when the distributor isn't able to agree the commercials to secure the deal. This side can sometimes be technically complex as you will be the pin between the end user client and your technical support staff and often involves bespoke solutions.

With excellent marketing support and a reputation for quality and service the business feels that the time is right for aggressive growth and this expansion position will ensure that the distribution network is sufficiently account managed.
